Default sc400 trans problem

Hi, I am looking at a very clean sc400. I took it for a test drive and it skips right over 2nd gear. When i hammered it, it will shift 2nd but only stay in it for a blink of an eye then shift 3rd right away. It does not slip what so ever just wondering if any one has any advise.
Also the OD light staerted flashing codes to me but the guy pushed the botton and it stoped..... wish i could have got the codes. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

I've got a high mileage SC400 as had a friend of mine until recently. Both cars had the same issue, which was corrected by replacing the #2 transmission solenoid. Part cost about $ 300, replacement was pretty straightforward.
