Default SC300 manual - shifting from 1st to 2nd

Guys,

When I shift from 1st to 2nd under moderately hard acceleration, the parking brake light comes on.

To get this parking light off, I have to pull up the parking brake handle a little bit and then push it back down.

Anyone else experience this issue? If so, what needs to be fixed?

Thanks.

top off your brake fluid and check the condition of your brake pads all the way around. most likely they are worn down. stock lexus pads come with 10mm of material. if you are down to 10-15% or less the light may turn on. the light turns on because the piston gets pushed out of the caliper so much that the fluid from the reservoir has to move into the caliper. the brake fluid level in the reservoir falls and your light turns on. it happens under acceleration i assume.

problem: solved

I had the same problem, except mine would go away after a little while. It was brake fluid. But dont fill it until you check your pads, because when you go to compress your caliper to get them off...well, all that fluid you put in, goes EVERYWHERE
