1JZ, 2JZ swap?
So lately I've been thinking about swapping either a 1j or a 2jzgte into my Lexus. Never done this and I come from the Supra world.lol. Ive done two GE installs on my Supras so I know how to take out and swap in motors. Now, what I'm curious about is, what would I need to do on a SC300 to swap it in? Anything different? I know both have the same chassis, so it would have to be rear sump as most JDM JZ's come front. Does the water pump have to get swapped out as well on a 1JZ? How about harness, driveshaft, anything else i would need to mess with to make it work? Those questions go for both 2j and 1j. Appreciate any help. Thanks;

wows, all of this information has been covered 1000000 times on this forum.
you can bolt a 1jz or a 2jz right in with the correct oil pan.
or you can just reuse the oil pan from your ge if you have a sc300.
as for accessories some you keep, some you swap from a ge, see a swap thread for the detailed info.
harness needs to be extended, DIY or pay someone like DR tweak.
transmission and all just reuse what you got and no worries, unless you are planning on upgrading then it gets trickier.
Search is your friend though.
