Default Hesitation finally fixed!

hello all, my 93 sc3 r5tspd has had a horrible hesitation/ stuttering upon acceleration, especially when trying to feather foot it but if i beat on it or WOT it would be fine. it felt like trying to teach a newbe to drive stick. ive replaced fuel filter, plugs wires and dist. cap, MAF sensor and cleaned iacv with no results. and now finally my car drives smooth as ice to the point you wouldnt be able to tell when i shift if you were deaf. not exactly sure what fixed it but here are the last things ive done. i disconnected the tps sensor, removed the vacuum line going to my egr, and also added a bottle of pennzoil shogun fuel systems cleaner( havnt been able to find it in stores, just laying at a buddys garage). i know this has been a common problem among sc's, i hope this helps someone.

It was probably your TPS sensor. You may have had a bad connection of a finicky wire going to the TPS causing problems. It would definitely cause the jerky "learning-how-to-drive-a stick" feel. Glad you fixed your problem!

You can use a camry TPS (92-96? v6), same part number for a fraction of what a sc300 TPS would cost. Bought mine for 15....where as others wanted 65 for a "lexus" tps.
