Junkyard Electrics Fans PICS
Just finished setting up a pair of junkyard electric fans. These came off a 2004 Nissan Altima and fit like a glove. They are essentially 3-speed as they can be wired up different ways. I have them wired up on the middle speed. We'll see how they work. They come on with the ignition on. Fans cost me $50 but it's better than what was on there.
I wouldn't recommend electric fans as the stock clutch fan pull more air and is more reliable than electric but I didn't have the stock parts to put on the car and junkyards want a premium for lexus parts. But if you want a nice set of OEM fans, these work well

nice i run a set of lt1 camaro fans with a slightly modified shroud and just a thermostatic relay. whole set up cost me 30 bucks. the camaro fans work very well and actually pull more cfm than the flex-a-lite 220's but they take up more room than your altima fans. very clean set up you have

They fit well for being from a different car. There are cheaper alternatives out there but I was in a pinch and thought these might work.
They're not wired to be always on. They come on when the ignition is on.
You could install a thermostat switch, but I'm not going to.

totaly there are few members that are rocking the ALtima fans already i think its a sweet *** upgrade in te engine compartment looks oem. I havent been to the junk yard yet but as soon as I get to one I will be getting a set my self. How did you wire them in like what wiresdid you tap for power ? could you do a little quick write up i see u have some relays in place ?

It's pretty simple so you should have no problem figuring it out.
I used one 30amp relay for each fan and a 30amp fuse for each relay.
There are four wires out of each fan. This is where it's kind of tricky. I lucked into the wiring on the first fan and went by stock wire colors (I had the pigtails for the fans).
There are basically two + and two - wires on each motor. There are three combinations that work:
Hook up one + and one -, low speed
Hook up two + and one -, medium speed
Hook up two + and two -, high speed
Here is a relay diagram for you to use if you don't already have one:
Looking down on the fans like I have them installed, the two wires closets to the engine are + and the two wires closest to the radiator are -
Hope this helps
Also, this is by no means a clean install to my standards. It was quick and I didn't put much time into it. My blue car has a much cleaner setup.
