Some GTE swap questions
Just got a BPU USDM 2jzgte swapped sc and had a few questions. Car is a 97.
Is OD, traction control, and the normal/ect switch supposed to work?
The motor is said to be a 96. Is that OBD I OR II? Car has an OBD I ECU.
When I'm driving, it feels like OD is always off. Cruises around 2700 rpm, sounds like OD is off, and doesn't seem to settle into a gear. It doesn't feel like it's changing gears, but it does adjust the rpm and it feels like it's going back and forth between od on and off. What's up with that? Car has the stock supra auto.
I may think of other questions, but that's all I can think of now. I've owned an sc, a 1jz sc, and a supra and I'm not familiar with these issues.
Thanks!

it all depends on the person who did the swap but the info your saying sounds like that your running a obd1 setup.... however you really should talk to the person who did the swap if you can locate them about your problems or have the car checked out as for the trans issue try to be more specific like it keeps shifting up and down gears? at what rpms etc

Well it's not changing gears, it just feels like OD is being turned on and off kinda. It's weird, and kinda hard to explain. When I'm cruisin at around 60mpj, my rpm are around 2700, but if I give it gas, the response is much better than in my supra. It feels like my OD is off.
