Default Odd Battery Problem

Alright so I put a new battery in my car maybe 3-4 months ago. Everything has always been fine starts right up.

Today I drive to school. Then I drive to my 2nd school. Drive home. And I get ready to go to tacobell with a friend and dead? I get all the dash lights at first like it was going to work I try to turn it over and nothing. Then I get no dash lights.

I tried jumping it didn't even need to start the other car and it worked great let it sit for 10-15 then drove it for 5. Brought it home turned it off tried to turn it back on and same thing dash lights at first then totally nothing.

Then I have this battery charger thing that doesn't require another car and it started right up it has a battery level reader and it read good. But if I turn it off it won't turn back on. What could be this problem?

It might be a ground problem. Check all the ground wires. Or your alternator is dead?

Not just the terminals. All the other ground wires around the engine.

check your battery grounds. You may have corroded ground wires and/or positive wires. Check your starter and it's connections. Check your coil for spark. Have Autozone do a free check of your battery and alternator. Do a search, tons of info out there on what/how to check. good luck

You gotta get the battery tested First. Probably bad, if not you can move on with other checks.
