Default Mkiii r154 vs soarer r154 shifter feel

I would like to swap R154 in sc300, currently it has w58.
I just want to know how extended shifter feel comparing to soarer remote shifter( http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/l...soarer-1-1.jpg ). Are the shifts longer/wider on the MKIII extended shifter? should i just buy soarer tranny and not bother with mkiii tranny?? thanks for your input.

You can install the 95-97 sc300 shortshifter on the Soarer R154...that's what I did and it's pretty tight.

are the shifts wider/longer in the MKIII tranny with extended shifter housing?

im pretty sure toyota didn't just change all their shifter styles in an attempt to degrade performance. so i would say the new style at the least its equal to or better.
