I helped with his swap directly and also took the pics from when he did the swap that day (redphoenix). In a quick list of questions what do you need to know. I read your intro paragraph and some things didn't look right like the MK3 pedals and the different clutch line setup. I can help you out with most of the stuff you mentioned cause I did it and some of the thought be good mods didn't work out after daily driving. Let me know and we can go from there...

No longer doing the swap due to smog issues on a obd2 vehicle. As a matter fact, the kit is back on sale. Look on the fs section and you'll find this ad. If I was driving a obd 1 sc4, I'd do this swap immediately!

hmmm...but does the kit fit though and no issues with the fitment..annd your only problem is passing emmisions right?..well why don't you just pay a shop to pass your car anyways i'm sure you can find someone to do it for you...even though its obd2 and connected to the dmv i think...there is a way to still pass your car if a shop is willing to do it for the right price

You can't always find a shop that'll hook it up, plus even if they do, what about 2 yrs. later. Everything will bolt up to the sc400 with the adapter.

There was another guy that pulled off the swap on his 99' and it seems like his car is running smoothly. Although I believe he was in Texas so I dont think emissions was an issue. He did have other issues when doing the swap that he mentioned, but they all seemed to be easy fixes.. sry cant remember his name. Maybe someone else can remember.

EDIT: nvm here's his thread; https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...-finished.html
