w58 tranny swap and speedo not working!
ok guys i got a 93 sc300 with a 1jz swap. the tranny has been swapped with a mkiii supra w58 and now the speedometer wont work. from what i hear, the w58 speedo is cable and the sc300 is electronic. is this true??? and what parts do i need to get this working??

You definitely need to reuse your speed sensor from your existing sc300 auto tranny.
As long as you use the sc300 shifter from a 95+, any mkiii w58 will work. Otherwise, you take out the radio and cigarette ashtray, make a big circle, and you'll have a customized shifter tucked inside where the radio use to be, Lol. .

So your sayin that a shifter housing from a 95+ W58 will bolt up to the MKIII W58 and work with out problems ?
