From what I understood, you were thinking of swapping a motor and tranny from an IS300, which would be a W55. If you were going to do the 2JZ from the IS but a W58 from an SC or Supra, then disregard.

Post Lol

Basically i highjacked a prettymuch dead thread instead of creating another because the title fit. And upon searching someone can find the info they need. I have a 99 sc300 vvti which is the same motor as the 2001 vvti is300. no need to change. i was simply lookin for a way to do a 5spd swap in my car without having the check engine light come on. from the ecu realizing that the auto was not there. just to have it look clean because we dont have smog or whatever and they dont hook up obd2 cars to the machine.

The is300 comes into play because they have five speed models and since the autos from 98+ sc300s and 2001+ is300 have the same ecu i figured the is300 5spd ecu would help in the area of throwing codes because its not lookin for a auto trans. like leavin my auto ecu in would do. thats what i was going for.

So my next question would be did you have plugs already underneath the car where you used for your speed sensor and such stated above. when you did your swap. or how did you get around that? sorry for the questions but your serious helping alot.

EDIT: dang i forgot to realize that the autmatic had that stuff there. and the rest would be regular auto to manual. I was thinkin to hard. LOL or not enough. sorry
Actually, I don't have anything plugged to the tranny most R154 swappers had to do something about the speed sensor, but luckily for me i didn't have to. I was about to buy the speed sensor, then i took the car for a drive, and my cluster was working perfectly, and displaying the correct speed. I also tried braking in the rain and the wheels didn't lock, so i'm almost certain ABS is intact also.
