FYI, David Phan at www.lextreme.com has low comp copper headgaskets for the 1UZFE.

JBrady:

Actually, they are MLS gaskets, better than copper, no need to re-torque the heads. I know, I am awaiting a set to arrive for my project.

Thanks,

Ryan

Thumbs down WOW on that price

i cant see someone spending soo much money and owning a speed shop???? theres is a speed shop in kendal fl i went to yesterday they specialize in custom turbo rotary and v8, they quoted me for my 1992 sc400 $3,500 single turbo installed running correctly, and $4,500 for a twin turbo set up, after i did a full tune up on the car including all seals on the car and o2 sensors the car dyno came at 219hp , 236 torque with the tt kit they promised AROUND 400hp range safely

you realize this thread is ten years old, and that it hadn't been posted in, in ten years? please don't resurrect dead threads like this. also check the last post date. everything in this thread is old news now.

As stated below, tis is a very old thread...But I don't know why it would be improper to resurrect an old thread...it does seem that Emili01 did not read the date f the lat post, which was by me over 8 years ago...Wow, a lot has indeed happened since the. The Mechtech deal was and still is a dead horse, never got off the ground. A TT set up for $4,500??? Sounds wrong to me, but maybe. The plumbing on the TT is difficult to fit into the car, and expensive as everything is a one-off. Plus you will Ned nine ,a agent. Plus, you should consider your transmission, drive train, rear end, etc. maybe you are getting the family discount and then some...Good luck to whatever you decide to do.

Old news, yes, but now he can get one participation I he wants it and determine if this is a route he really wants to pursue...
