pics probably don't do much good, but my throttle body side is running into the passanger side of the fmic, then the piping from the turbo runs towards the front of my car and then curves and runs along the back side of the intercooler piping and turns into the drivers side of the fmic..

a fmic with inlet/outlet on one side definetly would be easier, or you can always get a GTE style manifold, or make your own using the GE and GTE manifold parts..

thats what i'd LIKE to do one day.

Heres some pics on GTE type routing. Excuse the messy engine bay, will tidy up when I have time.

here are the only ones i can seem to find, but i will try and take some soon.

Edit: judging from your pics you may want to offcenter the IC a little to the right like i did. that gives it some space for the piping, and the piping on one side will balance it out. for the top pipe, I used a 90 and curled it under that bar your top one is sitting on.

temp-wise I see the same range of temps on the ems with this vertical setup that i did with my large frontmount setup. the vertical setup is definately more responsive as there is less pressure drop and less piping.

here you can see both pipes kinda. the top one curls around right to the lower fender area where it shoots right to the turbo. the bottom one goes over to the fender hole and to the throttle body.

here you see the charge pipe curling around, and if you look close at the very left thats the pipe going to the fender and then to the throttle body.
its actually covered by the lower part of my bumper completely.

Please excuse the dirty engine bay, it is getting scrubbed very soon.

intercooler i used
go to ebaymotors search: same side intercooler 22x6x3
when i got it the first thing i did was cut that stupid flange off the bottom.
