Default Radiator cap 92 sc400

I own a 92 sc400 and have a question on the rad cap. The car has 2 caps, 1 for the resevoir and 1 on the radiator itself. I noticed the cap on the rad was leaking a little intermittently so went to pep boys and picked up a new one and the cap did not fit. They said their computer only shows 1 cap and that was it. It fit the resevoir but not the rad itself. So I returned it and went to carquest and the exact same thing happened. What gives? Is it possible the car had the rad replaced once and it came with a different cap? I figured I'd try here before going to Lexus and the forum search turned up nothing of use. Any help is appreciated!

Probably has had the radiator replaced. Don't know what would be best for the radiator, just a lid type to seal at the very top, then let the one cap control fluid level. Doesn't seem like 2 standard type caps would work right.
Someone here will have experenced this(repl. radiator), they'll say something pretty soon.

Also the existing cap on the radiator is a tad smaller than the one on the reservoir and it has 1.1 stamped on the top of it. Any clues anyone?

I can't find any visible markings/info on the radiator itself but it does look like an oem fit and type with the top of the rad made out of what seems like hard plastic which I think was the original type yes...
