If it's pushing coolant out, it probably is the head gasket. There is a very simple test any mechanic should be able to perform, using a test kit, pour chemical in a test tube, put test tube on radiator filler neck, if color changes, you've got exhaust in your coolant=leaking head gasket. Pretty rare for 1uz, but if cooling system was ever not maintained properly by a previous owner, well, there ya go. If you can't do the work yourself=very expensive at hourly rate. It's a big job on this car. Selling a '92 with bad engine=not easy. As mentioned by others, another 1uz is an option, IF you can do it yourself.
