Spent all day on this. There was originally a plate put there to keep the wires from getting rubbed, but the car is just too low and it was heating the plate up and melting the wires behind it.

For the really low car's that damn near eat through the uni-frame, this is the only option.

Everything went well and another relocation is done.

I don't believe there's anything in the passenger side fenderwell that is in harm's way.

I did this as well, drilled a couple extra holes to put zipties through to hold them up there.

Do any of you have tips on how to get the harnesses unplugged? It feels like they are glued into the sockets. I was only able to unplug one out of the four or five. I'd really like to move this as my car was rubbing with the blown stock shocks and 16's. I can imagine what new lowered suspension and 18's is going to do if I don't move them.

This is the reason I chose to just tuck it higher up in the fender. You could try using a mirror and maybe some curved needle nose pliers to push the tabs in.

I rub all the time, and after 6 months, the zip ties and wires are all intact and well out of the way. But it's not the "gold standard" harness mod.

Yea its a real PITA to get those plugs out from inside the car. But it is possible. I wanted to give up a couple times, but I didnt, and i was finally able to get em out. Thats the hardest part of the relocation is getting em unplugged. They all have release tabs that need to be pushed in order for em to pop out. (and a lot of finger strength) lol. Good luck.

Did this on my SC 2 days ago..Took about 2 hours..I dont know what year the OP's SC or if its a 300/400 diffrence. But for some reason on mine (95 SC400) A lot of wiring from the foglight/washer fluid sensors etc. actually ran into the same harness I was relocating in the fender well. I eventually pulled it all through the fluid fill tube hole then pushed all the extra stuff back through and plugged it back in. Just an extra step I didnt think I had to do and it took the most time (Take all those splash gaurd panels off, find all the wires/plugs, loosen the fluid tank). In the end I was about an inch short to plugging back in all the harness wires under the dash, But with alot of forceful pulling, I was able to make it work. Not lowered...Yet..But I can see why this is a must if you are..

I had no problems on both my SCs getting the harnesses unplugged.
