what lights are you seeing on your dashboard? any check engine lights or the trac light lit up fully. if traction control has never worked open the hood and on the drivers side there is a small fusebox with 4 relays. double check the trac control relays are still in there (4 total). sometimes people pull these out to disable the trac.

I think the problem is with the TCS itself. If someone had pulled a relay to disable the TCS you would have the "Battery" Light lit on the dash. I would replace all relays and fuses for the TCS. And see what you get. It is alot cheaper to do that than buy a new TCS components.

why would the battery light be on? alot of people pull that relay. i thought it just lights up the "trac" cel permanently and also lights up the "trac off" sign.
If your little "trac" light is on, then you need to pull the codes for the trac system.

TE1 and E1 for CEL.
What pins to pull TRAC code?

I can't remember 100% but i think its Tc and E1. same spot in the engine bay.
there is a pattern for how the trac light blinks, and you can look up the code.
