Component weights from our racecar
I know there are a couple of threads already on weights, but I thought I'd post the weights from all of the components we've removed from our car. These are measured on a bathroom scale that weighs a little light, but should be a good estimation.

The stock wheels weighed in at 21 lbs. We're planning to run LS400 wheels to fit over the LS400 brakes at a much lower cost than TT or aftermarket wheels. Hopefully they're around the same weight.
So far we've removed an incredible 675lbs from the car. Weight will be added back in with lighter weight components (race seat, lexan windows, DIY fiberglass hood, etc) and the addition of the rollcage. Hopefully we'll get a a chance to weigh the car, but our dry race weight should be around 3200lbs.

Nice info! Haven't heard of ChumpCar but sounds a lot like 24 hours of Lemons (my wife & friends have a car they race in that series)
