Performance & Maintenance Engine, forced induction, intakes, exhausts, torque converters, transmissions, etc.

Slight delay in throttle response.. what could it be?

+1 for checking throttle cables, mine were WAY out of adjustment when I got the car because of the stretching of the cable over time.

Also sounds like you might have a slight TPS issue as well though

What does the TPS do exactly?

Throttle Position Sensor, does exactly what it suggests, senses the position of the throttle and sends to amount that the trottle plate is open in a percentage to the ECU so that the ECU knows the amount of air being allowed into the engine so it can adjust fuel delivery.
