Wow it looks good, all you need now is the VVTi GTE Valve Covers and your are set that the only thing missing.

Ali SC3 looks nice, did you get it welded or use a gasket, and if its the gasket what type of material?
Used stock GE gasket and some gasket maker.

I would Of Taken The easier Route And Swapped In A GTE head

how is that the easier route?? find the right GTE manifold and it bolts straight to the GE lower runners...not to mention, its much cheaper going with the GTE manifold

Ok he did have the vvt-i bottom end but no where does he say that he was trying to set a world record. just a na-t setup and wanted a ffim.
he now has a gte swap.

I don't think it would be a problem either way,It could be the unit itself.
Using PS fluid in our system is notorious for causing leaks. Switch to ATF asap imo.

SC51 could you get us some more pictures possibly from different angles? Thats probably the route I am going, I have access to a nice TIG welder but just to keep it simple for now it would be much easier for me to just do what you did. Thanx for the information, i am sure all of us learned a thing or two.

Pretty much those pics will have to do because the setup is long gone, all my new pics are GTE. You can do what I did and run a leak down test to ensure no leaks or to ensure it, weld it!
