Default Strange Leak

Ok, so I searched, and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.

I have a 1jz SC300 with a 5 speed, and I have a leak coming from the passenger side, way back close to the tranny. It only does it when its warm, after running for a few minutes or so. I am not able to see clearly up there yet, so I thought I would throw it out and see if anyone has an idea. It appears to be coolant, def not oil or tranny fluid.

Thanks!!!

Does it only do it when the AC has been on on?

Good question. i know it was on the other day when it was doing it. I haven't been driving it lately. Is there something in the AC system that could be causing this? Its a pretty good leak.

The drain hose from the evaporator core runs into the back of the engine bay on the passenger side. Basically when the AC runs, it naturally condenses moisture in the air, same as a glass of ice water left on a desk. That water drips off of the evaporator in the dash. There is a hose that runs out in that area to keep the condensation from puddling up in the dash and lets it drain under the car. try to see if you can see the small drain hose above where it is dripping.

Can you tell if the dripping fluid feels clean like water, or feels slightly slippery and has a green or red color like coolant?

Hmm.. could be, but its quite a large puddle in a short amount of time. Is that normal?

Just check your coolant. If its as large of a leak as you say, it should be significantly low. My bet is that its just the AC though.

its def not clear. Its kind of slimy, and slightly green. It stinks more like coolant, than anything else.

if that is the case it may be coolant. Check your levels, and check all the hoses in the bay, especially the ones that run to the heater core.
