Diesel oil in a non-diesel engine, anything i should know?

oil pro's out there,

Who runs diesel oil in their car?

are there any downsides to using it?
thats it for now.

doign some research, dont see a reason to do it. why change something that works. no gains seen.

I used Rotella 10w/30 in my turbo camry since I had 2 crates of it sitting around in the garage... No issues at all...

the reason is because I have heard that it has a higher heat range than regular oil, and I mean full synthetic for both.

and I also heard they has a lot of detergents in them.

the reason is I can get full synthetic for free and if it has a higher temp range that would be great since my turbo is oil cooled and I imagine that would be very hot and cause oil to brake down.
