Sorry, I didn't mean to create a dead-end thread, just got caught up with life. I'll throw in my two cents when I can
In regards to the speed sensor, check if the wiring is right. There should be a signal, a ground, and a power. It should be on the right side of the motor. I know for the w58, the sensor is on the passenger side of the gear box.
Also, I'm not sure if I answered my own question yet but the reason for the high idle and temperature soar was because one of the grounds from the body plugs needed to be grounded solidly. Grounding to the chassis is not dependable so wire it into one of the grounds on the ecu plugs. The high idle was because my ecu was probably fried. I bought a auto chaser ecu and it worked better. If you have any questions, you can also pm me if you guys would like. I'll do my best to help you guys out, paying it forward.
