well i think i did...since i'm not running any o2 sensors besides the wideband, i just turn the key to the on position and wait until the wideband warms up then crank that sucker up..one of my buddies told me to try it and it actually works.

obviously we're talking about two different cars here, but the problem is the oddly the same- my car was getting a random miss and stall while driving- it would cut then reengage. Kept getting worse, and then eventually just reverted to the issue I am having now. Might be related.

I've gone through:
New ECU
New Plugs
New Wires
New MAF
Inspected MAF harness, OK
Inspected igniters, OK
Inspected coils, OK
Inspected cap/rotor, OK
Bypassed FP ECU
Inspected FP, OK
Replaced EFI relay

None of these have worked. There is something in the system that is overheating and causing a short and I can't figure out what it is. It's been eluding me for months.

What kind of codes are you getting? You may not get anything during normal operation but put it into test mode and tell me what codes you get

try to use Bosch plugs, no need a gap.

Have you tested the fuel pump to see what pressure your getting under boost? If the pump is weak then it will cause a break up.

Have you checked your timing; make sure you haven't jumped a few teeth on your timing belt?

There is absolutely NO way to try anything without the map ecu. I eliminated my MAF and converted to MAP via the map-ecu, also have PTE 580cc injectors and resistor, there is no way the stock ecu can compute any of that.

Although I'm starting to believe the map ecu is just a total piece of ****. I posted about it on map ecu forums, we'll see what their techs say about it... I'm starting to think my brand new map ecu is f'd up haha, it's the only other thing I can think of???

ive worked with lots of stand alones, and after market piggy backs, for work i actually build harnesses and work with Magetti Marelli ECU systems.. ( the are the ****!!! their traction control and fuel options are SICK) it really sounds that the Map ECU is bad or maybe mapping / programming might be bad??
