Default 92 sc300 with screw in o2 sensors?

1992 sc300 stock exhaust all the way back. i will be going na-t, OBD-I

okay guys, so i have a turbo manifold that has the screw in type bung for the o2 sensors:

as far as i know, my o2 sensors are flange type [im talking about the x2 o2 sensors that are on the stock n/a manifold, and i believe 97+ have screw in type o2 sensors?

my question is, disregarding the flange versus screw in, are these x2 o2 sensors compatible with each other? as in plug, and signals, etc.

i would like to swap my x2 o2 sensors with the new screw in types from newer sc300's can it be done? would OBD-II o2 sensors be different?

or should i just modify my manifold to accept my flange type o2 sensors?

TIA

go to autozone/oriellys/pepboys, and get the Bosch universal single wire o2 sensors. simply splice them in and your done.

just search for the specific o2 sensor for the SC, and look for the universal threaded type. they are there, I have been using them on my SC since I went na-t with excellent results.

yeah bosch or universal, match up the number of wires you want and get the screw in type. I used a few different universal single wire o2 sensors when I first went na-t, all gave me basically the same results.

i should just cut off my connector and splice it with the new bosch part# 11027 o2 sensor?

those are the exact ones I am running. simply clip the stock 02 connector and splice it to the Bosch wire.

they are all the same, only the really new toyota's (not sc300/400 at all) use a wideband (0-5v) sensor for closed loop operation, all old toyotas use standard narrowband sensors (thats what we have woot). In fact I think my car (1995 odb1 non cali) only had those 2 before the cat. I don't even think there is one on the midpipe but I haven't been under there in a while.
I actually ran the safc on my na-t with no o2 sensors for a while, didn't even get a CEL .

haha yeah my car was actually shipped out from florida, so i ONLY have TWO o2 sensors, which are the ones on the manifold runners.

i have NO o2 sensor on my cat.

i got the bosch o2 sensors today part number 11027 and they screw in perfect.

the guy working at autozone told me he had a friend with another lexus, idk which car, but he said you had to cut the wiring exactly as it says in the instructions. other wise it wont work and throw up a CEL. is this true? not that im super paranoid about it, but i was just curious.

instructions say to cut 2.5" away from the removed sensor, and then crimp the wire into the new bosch sensor connector.
