Why would I do that? That side is giving spark and working?

I relent - I bought and changed the cap and rotor with no improvement..... for the hell of it I put the old ignition coil on the driver's side - and it worked. I have no idea why.

Unless I somehow managed to completely trace all eight plug wires ot the wrong distributors it doesn't make sense......

It works tho - thanks for the encouragement to keep trying.

I guess I missed how you confirmed this. Was this your unplug test that you confirmed it or did you pull a wire and have it arc to see it work?
