Guys you wouldnt believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My car from beggining to end----

--stalled on highway
--wouldnt start
--called towtruck---started up before it could get there
--drove to mechanics
--checked codes-41 tps---
--purchased brand new tps from lexus replaced it---nothing--symptoms remain-car stalls out and gives bad starts frequently---cleared codes
---take car to lexus dealer---3 hours-----no answers
--problem persists----no codes thrown----fuel system-spark--and air all seem fine according to my mechanic and lexus dealer---
--take advice of club lexus members and swap "ecu"--nothing--problem persists
---check codes---code 12
--take car back to my original mechanic----tell him im going through hell and i need help
tells me to be patient and we will figure it out
---car is now throwing code 13--repeatedly
--mechanic checks distrubutor and whatever the code 13 means and nothing,everything seems fine--mechanic calls in his brother in law who is a electrician and specializes in diagnosing electrical problems and GUESS WHAT????????????????????

LOOSE PLUG ON THE CAM SENSOR!!!!!!!!!!

Put plug back on firmly so far the car has been running like a dream.

What a bittersweet ending to such a terrible nightmare.

Your help is greatly appreciated guys and I love club lexus!!Thank you so much for your help!!!

And yes it was a 93 sc400 with 140 000 km original.

And VANGB2 whats with the negativity??????

I dont ask my mechanic every little thing he is doing, he told me to be patient with him and that what I did. He knows what he is doing.

Well what a hard month this has been.

Since getting my car back and to good running order i love it more.

Sorry if you felt than there were some negativities, I did not mean it that way. If I were to pay my mechanics, I would like to know whats going on. Just trying to help.

I'm happy for you that it's working like a champ. I understand how frustrating it is to have your baby down.

Maybe i took it the wrong way and im sorry if i did.

Your help along with everyone elses is greatly appreciated.

And yes to say it is frustrating is an understatement lol.

And under normal circumstaces i would be informed about everything the mechanic is doing but in this case i felt it best to sit back and leave it in his hands.

I knew it was going to be hard to diagnose this problem and the last thing he needed was me sticking my nose in all the time and questioning his work------he asked that I trust him and be patient with him so that is what i tried to do--believe me it was hard lol.

He really came through for me ---great guy.
