The tranny is supposingly rebuilt with low miles. Last picture shows a small crack above the star screw (only flaw ive found).

Couple questions

1. I cant use this flywheel correct, ineed 1jz?
2. while in nuetral its difficult to spin driveshaft, it moves its just real tight.

Congrats man! Don't forget you can order the Soarer extension parts from Carson Toyota or Champion Toyota. I got mine in the other day.

What clutch do you plan on running?

If its tough to move might be low on fluid. Manual trans does have fluid as we all know.

It should spin fairly easily even dry. Mine does. Is the crack really a crack, or just casting lines?

Also, if it came off of a 7M car, you will need a bell housing as well as a 1JZ/2JZ flywheel. Notice how the flywheel only has 6 holes as opposed to the JZ 8 holes.

You will also need a cable to electronic speed sensor sender. You can buy it from Driftmotion or Marlin Crawler.

^Ya you cant see it in the pic its a small crack above the screw.

As far as not getting a custom driveshaft made is there anyway to mate the 2?

Oh, I didn't realize the OBDII cars read speed differently. Good to know The shifter pieces were around $130 IIRC. As far as drive shaft, you should be able to just mate the front of the one that came with the R154 to the stock auto rear section.

Hey stockhatch that soarer extension piece looks the same as what it already has?

Also if shifter needs extending I was thinking about modding this left over shifter I had, looks like it sits nice what do y think?

No, the extension I have is 1" farther back than that. When you manipulate the geometry of the shifter like you are planning, your throws get a bit weird. The shifter moves forward and back, but also up and down. Its not going to be the greatest shifting feel if you do that, and these trannys aren't known for their superior shifting feel as it is.

do you have the part numbers for the extension parts? and is there a short shifter available to use with this setup? as in other than the factory swan neck shifter?

I think those are the part numbers. I dont remember what I used when I ordered mine to be honest. Regarding a short shifter, I believe Driftmotion sells one that will work, though I dont know if it will move the shifter location compared to a stock shifter...I also cant vouch for the quality of the shifter itself since I have not heard any feedback on it.
