Out with the Aristo tranny
#91
Quicksc4 I can take to my friend and see if he has the parts you are looking for, i was trying to help you with some new parts but if you can get the whole trans for 300 i think it's a deal and you get to have some spare parts.
So I guess I just need to confirm a year for this anyone know if 87-88 is the one with the trans mount holes rite next to each other??
Ali SC3 might not be worth the trouble to rebuild it at a shop, you can buy them rebuilt off a guy on supraforums whos an expert at it.

I would go back Auto before i give him my $1900 for his "built" R154.
If i spend $1900 on R154 i will make sure it will hold whatever i throw at it, that's just the way i look at it.
Get the used one for $300 and have it rebuild by a professional, and keep the other one as parts tranny.

*Alright update R154 #2 is in along with the 3.26, seems pretty good, no signs of screws this time! Only got to drive it back to my house but gearing feels better I'll update again when i drive it more than 10 min. I gotta be up for work in a couple hours

* 2JZGTE Big Single (18psi) + Act Pressure plate + OEM stock disc = FAIL
I drove it for about 3-4 hours straight last night because it was beautiful out. Just put new rear tires on so its actually hooking a little better now, but towards the end of the night I noticed the clutch feeling a little different. From a start off when I slip into it it gives the slightest or jolt (stutter) Barely noticeable but I can feel it. Then under heavy boost it starts breaking up kinda like the jolting i feel from a dead stop but a lot worse where it doesnt boost smooth at all. Really feels like the clutch cant hold the power under heavy load
What do you guys think??

OEm disc ? now you need a new disc to start .. why OEM disc? i have a spec disc let me see if it's in good condition you can have it for free.
Once you start making some decent power it's always something when you on a budget that's one thing i hate about this game.
As long as your trans is good no worries you can buy a new disc for 150 for ACT.
let me know what you find out.

I Dunno I read before that someone was making like 600 with oem disc/after market pp so I gave it a try. Oh well guess I'll have to order up an act 6 puck for now, cant afford the HPF FF. *Also I turned down the boost from 18 to 14 and it didnt really slip at all under full boost. God is the power gain noticeable from just 14-18lbd change.

ACT 6 puck will do just fine, i had 2 of them love it and i just bought another one till i get my Twin Disc.
The custumer service at ACT is on of the best they don't give you no run around. get the new disc and turn it to 20 lbs i know i wanna do that.

stockhatch I would look into an aftermarket full face disk. 6 pucks suck with all their chattering and poor modulation. They do bite really hard though... Youre running 18psi on a single with stock fuel? Have you had the car on a dyno yet?
Things like that are really hard to believe, CL you hear all kind of stuff.
