My LS also runs better without the maf plugged in...weird. A lot more responsive.

I think the MAF is a red herring in this entire thread. All the touted "benefits" claimed by unplugging it can also be had by doing the "cut the trans accumulator solenoid wire" mod with none of the drawbacks.

You will gain low-end power. Wheelspin is easily obtained if you want it. 2nd gear is more fun. It's the transmission denying you things things, not the engine.
