Will a 2jzge A/C Compressor work with a 1jzgte engine?
Wondering if anyone out there has the answer to my question. Either from experience or from documented facts.
Gonna do a 1jz swap in my sc3 and would like to know if the A/C Compressor will swap over like the alternator.
Thanks

if you are using the compressor thats already in your SC you will have no issues
if you are going to use the a/c compressor from the 1jz then yes and no. there are 2 different port sizes on the compressors/lines one size is for r12 systems and the other size is for R134a systems
what year is your car? (did it come r12 or r134a from the factory?)
what year is the engine thats being swapped? (did it come r12 or r134a from the factory?)
for example i pulled a 91 1jz from a 93 sc300. Both the car and the compressor were R12 so it was a perfect match. However i was removing the 1jz from the 93 and putting it in a 95 sc300 which was r134a from the factory. The rubber lines on the car did not match the ports on the compressor.
to fix this you either need to go get another compressor. OR, you can go to autozone and buy one of the a/c o-ring gasket sets SPECIFICALLY for the sc300. You can then swap the A/C ports flange from one compressor to another
