help with auto tt wiring
"The trans is manually shifted by the shifter, but is also controlled by the ECU. If your 2nd is lighting up then it is over riding your manual gear selector. It does sound like you have a wiring issue with the gear selector.
The trans has a large 12pin connector that is used to tell the ECU which gear the trans is in since it can't tell mechanically. Sounds like 2nd and D are reversed and the D is on a 12v switched source. Its an easy fix with a multi meter."
I just wanted to know wires needed to be switched if anyone knows.

For the record, the Supra uses light green/red for 2nd(pin 2 on indicator switch) and dark green/red for drive(pin 9 on indicator switch), so I could see how they might get mixed up....Not sure if the Aristo stuff corresponds to the Supra colors. Without knowing more specifics I am not much help

well when i put the car in D the 2 light comes on. I put it in 2 d comes on. Well D is always on for some reason, but when i put it in 2 its able to shift only to 3rd. I put it to D it only has 2 gears. If i put it in D and pull the shifter back a little more fooling the car that im in 2 but the shifter is in D itl drive find, but i have to pull it back. Also how in the hell am i suppose to take the pins out of the plug? I tried n it was a damn pain.

The wires should go through another connector before they hit the indicator. It is IK1 on the SC. Try switching pins 14 and 16. IK1 is the orange body plug in the kick panel with 23 pins. Of course if the issue is on the switch side of the plug, this will probably only partially fix your issue. The indicator will light up correctly, but the ecu will still see the car in the wrong gear. It still seems more likely to me that the thing was incorrectly pinned at IK1. Why even mess with the trans side of the switch to begin with right? As far as D lighting up all the time, you will have to dig some on that one. Even if 2 and d were switched it still shouldn't light d all the time.

There are a few things you need to check here.
First, what color wires go to pins 14 and 16 on IK1?
When the shifter is in D, is there 12v on pin 14 of IK1?
When the shifter is in the 2 position, is there 12v on pin 16 of IK1 AND pin 9 on the ecu small connector?
When in L, is there 12v on pin 17 of IK1 AND pin 10 of the small ecu connector?
The main things here are:
On the trans position switch, pin 9 should go to IK1 pin 14.
On the trans position switch, pin 2 should go to IK1 pin 16 AND small ecu connector pin 9
None of the aforementioned pins should ALWAYS have 12v on it. If it does, you need to get a meter and start disconnecting wires and ohming out to determine where the voltage is coming from.
This is all assuming you only have issues with the 2 and D wires. If the other wires on the trans indicator switch are wrong, you have bigger problems obviously.

Light green is for 2nd and should go to pin IK1 16 and ECU small connector pin 9.
Dark green is D and should go to IK1 pin 14. Make sure those locations are pinned correctly and then if it doesnt work, go to the shift position switch on the tranny and start verifying pins.

Well instead of the nsw i went to the ik1 plug on the dash and measured voltage when i put the trans into gear. When in D pin 14 is getting 12v but the wire is spliced and going into pin 9 on the e10 ecu connector, but the e9 is suppose to go to the 2 wire. When i put the trans in 2 the pin 16 doesnt get a 12v but pin 22 on the ik1 does. Could that be the correct wire for the 2 since im only getting a 12v when its in 2? If pin 22 is the 2 then which wire is the pin 16? Should i switch 16 and 22? After switching 22 and 16 on the ik1 plug, should i splice pin 9 on the ecu plug with the pin 16? Where does the D pin on the ik1 plug go to on the ecu plug?

You switched pins 14 and 16 earlier right? Did you swap them back yet to the way they were? It sounds like they need to be switched back. Everything seems to be pointing to the gear indicator switch as being wired incorrectly.
Do this:
Do this:
Light green is for 2nd and should go to pin IK1 16 and ECU small connector pin 9.
Dark green is D and should go to IK1 pin 14. Make sure those locations are pinned correctly and then if it doesn't work, go to the shift position switch on the tranny and start verifying pins.
