1JZ breaking up in cold weather
Well guys i live in florida where its usually hot but lately we have been having this beautiful weather...55 degrees in the mid day...this is perfect turbo weather but for some reason my 1J decided it didnt like it at all...
My SC300 is a 1JZ Bpu
-FMIC
-3" DP
-Full 3" Exhaust (Blitz Nur Spec)
-Intake
-Greddy BCC
-Greddy SCC
-*I no longer have the safc2* in my car
my car is making about 15psi of boost, anyway about 2 or 3 weeks ago..we got cold weather and my 1J started breaking up at 4K if i was WOT before 4K..i figured it was jus my plugs since i was ridding around on the JDM plugs still so i replaced them with NGK V-Power plugs, it worked great for a day then i had to regap the plus to .28, since then the car has been running perfect, im guessing cuz it got warmer again but now we are having 50 degree weather again and now the car is breaking up again...
Im not sure what to do..

but i think ima jus go get denso oem plugs n see if that helps

Man, at 15 psi are you sure you aren't leaning out? Sounds like fuel cut, but the BCC should be preventing that... Do you have a functioning check engine light? Only reason I ask is because I had my car set at about 14PSI, but it got cold recently and I hit fuel cut yesterday. I had to dial the boost back down a bit.

I'm not sure if the car is leaning out or not cuz I don't have a wb in the car at the moment...but seems alil rich to me jus by the smell
Well I kno that but the issue is I don't have a boost controller on my car...lmao my car is makein that much boost with jus the fmic,dp,exhaust, & intake, I have a hks evc 5 sittin here ready to b wired in my sc so maybe ill use wire it in and go from there

I would be concerned about fueling if I were you. Spend the 50-75 on a dyno pull or the 200 on a WB before it's too late man. You have so much work in the car it would be tragic to lose it now due to bad/no tune.
Besides, a WB or dyno pull will help diagnosis of your issue whether it implicates, or exonerates fuel problems.

Besides, I jus bought a safc2, and ima by my innovate LC-1 wb next check...better safe then sorry bro
Ohh and I took the car for a spin 2day and it was pulling hard and didn't break up 1 bit
