one of the reasons your rpms are high is because your using an auto diff with a manual trans. the rear end for the w58 manuals is 4.08 while the auto diff is 4.27.
if you go with a supra auto tt diff your final gear will be 3.76 which will drop your rpm @60mph. my 1jz auto with tt diff cruises at about 2k @60mph
if you have aftermarket wheels/tires that could also be contributing depending on the size

for yours you would enter
285/35/19 for tire size
4.27 for axle ratio
enter your redline
for a W58 the gears are
1- 3.285
2- 1.894
3- 1.275
4- 1.000
5- 0.783
assuming everything is correct the table it gives you should be accurate to your true rpm/speed

i have a gs400 pumpkin, my question , what kind of result i should expected, i was told, if you have a 2jzgte 5 speed , a 3.92 would be perfect, but you can get away with an auto tt pumpkin. and the 3.26 will be perfect for a 6 speed, why does it matter, if your car got power, it will moves with a 3.26 diff, with a 5 speed. plz reply

if my car only has enough power to go 150mph then i dont want a differential ratio thats going to put my maximum speed at 200mph(ie redline in the final gear)
I also dont want a final gear ratio thats going to max out and redline at 125mph
what you want is a final gear that will get you close to but not below 150mph. That way you have enough gear to get you to your top speed, but wont hit the redline before you run out of power.

cruising at 2600 at 80mph with a 3.26 diff ratio is perfect for me, instead of 4 plus diff ratio, a 3.92 ok, even a 3.76, with a 3.26 diff in a 5 speed with power , whom will need a 6 speed, there not enough road for that with power, that is equivilant to a 6 speed with out spending the 6 speed money, am not a block to block racing, am more of a hwy , high speed cruiser. to me hondas are great from block to block, not toyotas, unless you have alot of juice for acceleration.

There are ill effects in not gearing up correctly. Many think that swapping over to manual is instantaneously going to make the car perform a bit faster over it's automatic counter part. With correct gearing that is true.
The effects of a longer gear ratio would be less shifting, lower cruising speeds and a higher top-speed (which is pointless if you don't have the power behind it).
Effects of a shorter gear ratio would be more shifting, higher cruising speed and a lower top-speed making it a rev-happy drive-train.
