When Steve Ganz did the group buy the price was $800. I hope the one you found is used.

That's a steal. If you don't want it, let me know and I'll pick it up.

Do you know what stall speed he had it set for?

2800 is good. For a SC400.

If you use it on a SC300 2800 wont be enough. 3200 might not be enough. Too little power. Mine is 3700 but on a turbo. WIll finally be installed tomorrow.

PI lets you do a one time trade-in for another stall speed.

Just remember that you can expect to pay $450 for R&R on that tranny.

R&R stands for 'Remove and Replace'. It's a shop term used when talking about labor rates. For example, if you wanted a torque converter installed a shop would charge you a R&R labor rate in regards to the transmission since the transmission has to be 'Removed and Replaced' to install the converter.

LexusPros has this Dragon Torque converter for $899:

Is anyone running one?

That TC is the one made by Precision Industries. There are quite a few people running them. All of them say it is the one of the best preformance mods they've done yet. $899 is a good price on it unless there is a group buy or you can find a used one.

$899 is the old price. I believe to your door it is $1200 now.

Default No TC for the SC3??

Just to make sure everyone knows. Despite the claims on their website, there is no torque converter for the SC300 from Precision Industries.
Hermosa, so what are we with the 300s supposed to do?? Just have ours rebuilt? And while I'm posting, has anyone ever tried swapping in a 5 or 6 speed into a factory auto (on the SC300 of course)? Just curious.

Yes, a whole lot of people. Clints (www.turbolexus.com) was originally automatic. It's just an example. I will be in the process doing it.

You "can" get a torque convertor for SC300. I belive you can get the Pink Dragon (also known as PI torque convertor) or have someone rebuild your stock torque convertor.
