5 or 6 spd swap
Ok, so do you know how much it ran him or is going to run you?? I'm gonna need a new engine before long (hopefully another 50k), and I'd like to get a new NA engine with a 5 spd and eventually drop in a turbo and 6 spd. I'm in college, so these are LONG-term goals.

"engine swap"
Refers to Supra TT engine swap into SC300.
"6 speed"
Refers to conversion of stock tranny to Supra TT 6 speed from automatic or 5 speed manual.
Why would you need a new n/a engine?

Cool, thanks.
Well, I'm using oil pretty badly (I'm the 2nd owner and the 1st didn't change the oil as often as they should have... @ eveyr 8-10k miles). I keep an eye on it and keep it full, but I use roughly 3 qts. every 3,000-3,500 miles. I think that I'm loosing it mostly to blow by, so the seals are about shot. Instead of spending the money on a rebuild, I'd rather get a new engine. I'd LOVE to get a turbo or twin turbo, but like I said, I'm in college, so I have a VERY limited budget. I'm hoping I won't have to change it out for another 2 or 3 years.
