Default Not overheating but just pass the middle mark.

First off I'd like to say I searched before I made this thread. I had a few maybe's but nothing has answered my question.
I have a 92 sc400 with 171k on the dash. Today I noticed when I got to my works parking lot the temp gauge was just pass the middle mark. My heat also seemed like it wasnt blowing 100%. More like 60%. I read that it could be low coolant but the low coolant light hasn't came on. I read that it could be the tstat but it hasn't over heated.
Does this mean I need a top off or flush? My water pump or my radiator might be on there way out? Mind you I have no leaks nore does my car have white smoke coming out of it after my car heats up. I'm going to check the coolant tomarrow but in the meantime could anyone else chime in that had this problem?

Mine sits at a hair past half normally. Where WAS your gauge reading before? I assume it has changed or you wouldn't be posting this?

It was sitting at the halfway point. I don't know if I'm worring too much or just trying to be on top of things before they go bad. If anything I want to take care of any engine problems before I take on the suspension.

What's your service history like? Have you changed your water pump, timing belt, and head gasket?

I havnt changed anything because I bought it used. I'm going to check the vin with my local Lexus dealership. The last owner said he took it to the dealership anytime he needed something fixed.
That leads me to another question. How should I go about calling the dealership for my cars history?

Nevermind that last question. I just called and I have to fax them my license and vin to get my history. Let's hope those parts have been changed. If not I'll be on the look out for a Jdm 1uz or a 2jzgtte swap.
