AEM V2 will not plug and play you will, it will not work you need a patch harness or get a 2jzgte harness already made for the SC3.

There is no PNP for 1JZGTE.

Damn that sucks, guess only thing i can think of is getting a Power FC or something straight out of Japan. Don't really want to go to the trouble of making/getting a new harness.
Just makes me just want to just sell my car and just get a MK4 supra...

You can get a patch harness made for the 1jz that is plug and play. Talk to Biggu, I think he ran one on his 1j/aem setup.

I know a full standalone is no hands down the best way to go but was wondering if a E-manage ultimate does any justice compared to my current setup which is just a E-manage blue.

Also, was wondering if the ultimate will fix my cold start problems? In what i was told my car sucks on cold start and takes like 10mins to start due to not having the ability to adjust timing and/or cold start.

Want to go full standalone but seems to much of a hassle to go through especially just only having one car .
If anyone can shed some light that the ultimate can fix my cold start problem and get the car to start ASAP right at 1st crank, you made my life easier and I thank you.
Planning to go ultimate because i know it uses the same exact plugs as blue plus an additional plug which i believe is for timing.
Ultimate seems a lot more affordable.

How does the Ultimate stack up compared to a AEM ECS?

Emanage ultimate is better that blue and has more options, i really would not mess with any piggyback if you are going for 600hp , i know they control timing .... but i wouldn't mess with them.

You should be able to adjust timing with the EMB because it come with the ignition harness and injectors harness.
It's a good piggy back for up to 450hp, my friend had the Ultimate and POS gave him so much trouble and i convince him to got AEM on his 1jz, I helped him with the Wiring and got the car tune ; ran better than ever.

You can install the emS in 1 day lol and tune it the same day, please do it right and i know you want to.

Good to know that its a POS don't really know anyone with it. Yeah, definitely want to go the right way. Greatly appreciate the feedback will put the AEM ECS into consideration.
But should i go with the series 2 or just go with the regular one?

Mike just get the V1 it works great and cheaper you can use the rest of the money for tuning.

I taught it was a good unit till my friend started having some serious issues with his, and to tell you the true some people swears buy them lol.

I wanted to do ProEfi on my SC but for the money and some of the options i really won't be using i i decided to stay with AEM for couple more year.
I never liked the V2 lol i don't know why sometime i judge the book by it cover haha and i know i shouldn't.

Get Josha (Dr Tweak) to make you a patch harness i think it's $350 and you will be good to go.

The PnP Greddy/Trust harness for a jzz30 Soarer 1JZ for around $250..local shops can order it.

I still have all the different settings saved if anyone need's them, boost cut/fuel cut/speed cut/rev limiter, injectors etc..

Diddo on the AEM V1, a reputable AEM tuner around here tuned a stock 1jz with the V2 to 350 rwhp. the car was back every other week trying to get it streetable, all sorts of software malfunctions, ended up putting a V1 in it. PhoenixTuning.com for patch harnesses.

That's exactly why i like the V1 better, but i know couple of people that had the V1 and it took a dump on them at the track lol.
The later batch on the V1 are the better.

I'm no expert on AEM version differences, but I think I heard you have to run a DLI on the V1? Is that true?

So your saying a local shop can order a complete harness for $250 to replace my soarer harness to fit the AEM standalone?

Does anyone know which aem standalone will work with this harness
http://www.phoenixtuning.com/zenstor...5dpg3tlcgu5594

Went to the aem site and there are two standalone units the 87-88 and the more expensive 89-92.
I'm guessing the 89-92 is the correct standalone.
