TRDmike,

Driftmotion is making a patch harness for the soarer 1j to work with an AEM v2 ems they should be done next month. I think the harness patches to a Honda AEM ems v2 but it still can do everything for 6cyl the best part about this... ready.... $1275 brand new with the harness..... problem solved.

my 264 cam 1j made 471whp with 19psi and a crappy 67mm turbo. I've seen my cousin's car do 595whp with a stock cam 1j with gt3040 at about 30psi on PUMP GAS! so a lot of people on here are just shooting farts out their mouths. you can probably pull your goal off with a piggy back and more boost just pull some timing or use race gas so you don't blow the motor. I'm using the mapecu2 its good for the most part you just can't mess with the idle too much or the cold start at all.

Guess I'll wait for that harness to come out, $1275 w/ harness that is a good deal.

Seems like you have a similar setup but got better numbers than i did, posted my dyno chart some where on the 1st page on this thread. Agree, that many people just shooting farts, for example: earlier post on this thread... funny that i was already producing over 400+

I definitely need some timing done especially cold start and I'm just running a e-manage(blue) and blitz access ECU.

Greatly appreciate the info especially on stuff that can save me money

where did u hear about the patch harness?

plug and play for my soarer? any internal mods besides cams for your dyno?

^ go to driftmotion.com they already have the ecu and patch harness just for the supra 1jz harness but the soarer one will be done by next month for the same price I believe. So yes it will be plug and play for the soarer plugs and it comes with a preloaded 1jz base map to start your tunning. for my dyno it was all stock with crappy ebay manifold and crappy regular style 67mm ptrim turbo and the cams, mapecu2, 550cc inj. I now have a different setup with a 6465 billet and better manifold plus ceramic coating and the car seems to do way better just haven't dyno'd this one yet.

you can do timing with the mapecu2 just not below 500rpm so with cams if it dips below it tends to stall out especially after running it. But go ahead and get that aem I might too so I can light some ***** up and throw in my bigger inj to up the boost.

I am in a similar dillemma as you are. my soarer came with stock 1jz but considering swapping 2jz with vvti as i can find these setups around 1200 or less.

Not sure where or if I will fit the limit on my 1jz during my build

That is exactly what happens every time starting from a cold start, even worse when my car is outside in the cold.

At the moment my R154 needs to be rebuilt, guess ill get both done in the same time. I will just have to wait on driftmotion for their soarer to AEM harness to come out.

Tweak makes that harness for $275.00 the last time i talk to him that was last month.
Doing the same on my friend's SC he has 2jzgte but running 1jzgte ecu and harness not my ideas but now he want to to go AEM and i am just trying to see if i want rewire a 2jzge harness in his car or just jget the patch harness from tweak and be done with it, but most likely i will get the patch harness since it's only 275 and PNP.

Forgot about that, good thing you mention that.

Just have to see how much I'm going to be spending since I'm getting my r154 rebuilt once again.
The plan as listed:
-Rebuilt/upgrade r154
-Install ORC twin plate clutch
-Install 1000cc Injectors
-Soarer To AEM harness
-AEM v1
-Tune


Which AEM EMS do i buy from what vehicle? Supra jza70 or jza80?

The plan is probably going to take a while for a short list since i just bought another SC for a daily.

well lets think about the money if you buy a patch harness for 275 and a used v1 aem for about 1000 that equals 1275 the same exact price for the harness and brand new v2 aem from driftmotion come on guys.

AEM 30-1100 will work great for you, the MK4 TT box is what you need.

You can't buy a new AEM V2 30-6100 box for 1275, i would buy (2) of them for that price.

that's for Hondas and Acura they just made the patch harness from the honda connectorto the 1jzgte connectors.
I you can just buy the patch from them you can get those ECU used for $500.00

Alot of IS300 guys used the 30-6050 with the patch harness on their ISs.

LOL even on E85 and 30 psi something has to be wrong with the setup to make 595rwhp at 30lbs.
At 25 psi on 93 octane that engine will be gone, unless he is running under 8.5.1 CR
