Move the oil pressure switch to the union bolt and the use oil pressure switch hole for you oil feed since the oil is already filtered after the union bolt.
that's what i would do atleast.

I see what acount2x is saying, the oil cooler plate sends 100% of the pressurized oil to the filter then it goes through the plate to go through the cooler and then returns to the plate and then on into the engine. With the holes plugged no oil flowed at all, you were running on whatever oil film was left and whatever splashed onto the crank.

I did not know this. Some guys on here and supramania suggested the oil sandwich plate and this is my first time ever using it so I didnt really knew how it functioned. So, this is the cause of my oil pressure.

I went to my local Toyota dealer and wanted they $46 for the union bolt and washer. I says EFFE that, Im gonna drill and tap into my spare.

I pulled the motor out on Monday and dropped my GE motor in. With the knock, would you say take my chances. Get rid of the oil sandwich adapter and rerun the oil line to my twins or would your tear it down to see if there was any damage done to it?

The purpose of an oil sandwich plate is to run a cooler. If you look closely you can see your sandwich plate was mounted on top of the OE sandwich plate. Running two sandwich plates is bad idea in and of itself but that is besides the point.

The OE cooler is a liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger therefore oil passes straight through it and the coolant around it. Blocking the holes won't matter because it would merely disable the coolant flow therefore turning the cooler off.

Your aftermarket cooler redirects the oil out to an aftermarket cooler. Blocking the holes is devastating because it blocks the flow.

Running a sandwich plate and an external cooler is a great upgrade especially if you remove the OE cooler and I would recommend it as well.

The knocking sound already tells you everything you need to know. YOU HAVE DAMAGE. Sorry.

You need to open up the bottom end of the engine. Take the oil pan off and look for the spun rod bearing, it should be the very black one. If you want to run an oil pressure gauge you need the other plate.

try lexus the union bolt is actually cheaper from an IS than a late model supra, as the IS is more common. there is nothing wrong with tapping the stock bolt just make sure you do it right.
