Question What parts are all needed in order to change timing belt?

Ah yes...another late night.
I am going to be changing the timing belt soon...but need to order the parts tomorrow. I know I need the belt....is that it? Do I need any tensioners or anything?
Also...now follow me here...what is the recommended service interval for changing the water pump and Tstat IF its not giving you any problems? Should it be changed every so many miles or only when it starts giving problems? I just had that and the thermostat done 2 weeks ago...(so yes I know you should always get it done with the timing belt, but obviously not in this case).....but just for my general knowledge, how often for those 2 parts?

Default Timing belt change

I just did this job. You will need the following:
1. Timing belt
2. Bearing #1
3. Bearing #2
4. Water pump (change as long as your in there)
5. Serpentine belt bearing
6. Serpentine tensioner bearing
7. Dist cap/rotor, and plugs (again as long as you are in there)
7. Helps to have the manual ($100)
Special tools:
1. Crankshaft holder to remove bolt (I made my own). I found all of the parts on the internet. Whole job cost me $300. Dealer quoted me $1700. Good luck.

The Lexus dealer only sells the whole tensioner as a unit. The bearing can't be replaced without changing out the whole tensioner. ($189 from my Lexus dealer) If anybody rebuilt their tensioner bearings I would like to hear about that.

There are some other (on topic) threads with more on this you can search.
