Are my mods safe for my 1jz twins?
Whats up guys, I have a 1jz with stock turbos and i'm trying to upgrade without messing up the turbos...
So far i have 3" d/p & exhaust, fmic, hks bov, boost gauge, turbo timer. And i plan on installing pulleys, hks evc-s boost controller and 440cc injectors.
Is that safe for the stock twins as long as I dont boost over there limit? what is it...13 or 15 psi?
please help! thanks

You don't need 440cc injectors on stock twins unless you're running some nitrous or plan on going single soon. If you install them, you will need some sort of fuel management to run properly.
I've been running stock twins with bolt ons on about 15psi +/-1psi untuned for over 2 years now. My car has been running strong and I've been dailying it and drive hard all the time. One day I'll dyno it and get a tune.
In my opinion, I don't think lightweight pulleys is a good idea especially the crank pulley. I've heard alot of stories about crank walk.

And what is it about the pullys, not the crank pulley, that isn't a good idea?
the stuff you mentioned was very helpful though...thanks!
