Default auto to manual swap on 97sc300

So i'm doing the auto to manual swap for my 97 sc300. i'm using a w58. Do you guys know if I need the thrust washers(shims) for the flywheel? Toyota told me I do but lexus told me I don't. Now i'm all confused?

And also does the rubber mount and metal crossmember/mount for the auto work to hold up the manual tranny or do I need to get the manual one as well?

thanks for the help!

your talking about the 2 large spacers infront of the flex plate right? if so, no. you do not use them because your flywheel will take up this gap that was used by the spacers.

i know for the r154 the auto rear metal crossmember fits perfect on the rubber mount for the tranny and it aligns it perfect with the auto holes! so they should be the same. but im guessing since i dont really know since mine came with a rubber mount but not the metal brace
