Project is going very well, but slowly. My compression numbers were great after the R&R on the head--testament to the 2JZ block.

I need to talk to Lance about getting the headgasket soon, and to ask him about the largest turbo that will fit my manifold. Hoping for something T72 sized. I think I read that the Headgasket was $300 from Toyomoto.

Also gotta decide on fuel/ ECU. Bought some Sound Performance (not sure what brand, but I think they're Seimens) 750cc low impedance injectors, and an upgraded dual feed rail, not sure if a VPC and stock ECU will control the low impedance ones. Do you know? Otherwise its looking like the AEM. If I do VPC, I'd still need the rev limit raised to take advantage of the cams and upgraded head/valvetrain.

If you have any ideas, let me know.

some one set me straight here.......

i thought that the ToyoMoto kit was going for about $7500......and that was with twin T04E's

also putting the car at about 450rwhp.......and safe to run it at 18psi with 8.5-1 compression.....

maybe i misread or misheard something, or am i right?

what is this T60 and T70 stuff i am reading.......and where are they sold?

Don't know where you got that from. The Toyomoto kits are all single turbos.


18psi is generally considered safe for 8.5:1. The kits range from around 360rwhp for a small T04e on up to 800+rwhp, depending on what you want to do. I'm sure that he's not going to send you an 800+rwhp "kit" though. The big stuff stays in-house.

As far as T60 and T70---the toyomoto kits will fit a variety of turbos.

oops, my mistake, i double checked with Dan at Toyomoto and it was indeed a single TO4E set up........so i think the T60 sounds better to me now......but i guess it needs some shaving some where to make it fit. i dunno, i still need the car grrrrr, some one buy my mitsu, please
