This questions for anybody. I'm gonna buy that relay and fix my A/C today. I have the valve for the heater core bypassed so Coolant constantly flows through the heater core. Do I have to block that off again in order to feel cold air?

I don't think you will have a problem. The blend door should divert air across the evap instead of the heater core. There may be some minor efficiency loss, but if you have a healthy ac system you should not notice it.

Well heres the deal I bought the relay but that didn't work All I did to get the a/c compressor to kick on was put power to the A/c wire. So that was good.
Now the bad adding Freon to this Bi**h. My arm is so burnt now and bubbly. Stupid design So hard to add this crap with a 3in DP a half inch away
Anyway I got one can to go in the air felt a little cool (not really tho) Then I tried hooking the second can up and it was a royal pain to get it to clip on as its trying to spray out. I sprayed as much in as it would then the can just stopped... like half way full. My air doesnt feel cold the warmer the car gets. Also theres a small a/c line running near where I added the freon thats super hot!

Had the system been opened up before or something? Sounds like you need to have the system opened up, emptied, resealed, vacuumed down, and then refilled with the proper amount of refrigerant AND oil. And I feel your pain regarding the fill location.

^Ya I had the whole front apart this winter including the radiator and condenser out as well. All I did was bolt the lines back up to it, start the car and turn a/c compressor on. Then just added the freon till it wouldn't let me.

Yes, I would do a full on recharge if I were you. Ideally you should open and flush all components in order to get the proper amount of oil back in the system, but if you didn't lose much when you broke the system before you are probably ok there.

Has anyone else tested this method i have it wired up but it doesnt seem to be doing much for me either. My system for sure needs to be vacuumed and recharged, but would it cause my ac not to turn on?

So I check as many different sources as I can to make sure this post 29 is correct after I bought the relay for $3.xx.
Didn't want to cut any wrong wires after I got my car back from the swap since it runs great.
Found this site and it gave the info I needed to have the confidence to cut the correct wire.

Pretty straight forward! reading everything and getting out the appropriate tools took longer than the job itself.

Remember everyone, one of the major thing for this to work is you have to have freon pressure in the ac system. If you have no freon in the system, it WILL NOT kick on regardless even if you don't have a swap on the car. the Pressure switch will keep the compressor from kicking on. otherwise, this has repaired about 8 sc that has came to me to get it fixed. good luck to everyone.
