Exclamation High rpm Hesitation 1jzgte

I finally started driving my 1jz and currently am getting a problem at higher rpms. I have checked the spark plugs, new ngk iridium are on the way.
I have also heat shrunk and epoxied the coil packs.
Any ideas?

I say wait till you check the plugs then if it still don't work come back and post some more specifics ie. occurs only in boost, or at certain rpm etc etc

I recently had the same problem and it was my coilpacks cracked at the top and under the rubber boots. Hope you checked it all when you epoxied it.

Yea. Iv checked the coilpacks twice. This time i really did a sturdy job. I will wait for the spark plugs. Is there some kind of rev limit?. I have also just ordered a boost gauge.

Yea I know of the fuel cut and boost cut but when those hit it feels like you hitting a wall or some stuff. When this happens it goes to 4-5k rpm amd starts going wap wap wap really fast.

sounds like coild packs to me man :/ thats the samething that mind did. looses all the ballsy feelin and barely pulls its own weight. hopefully not though if youve already checked um. on that same note even the smallest crack is still a crack and will effect it

Bump this. I Changed my spark plugs couple times. Old spark plugs came out looking black and sooty. I also adjusted the tps sensor to the tsrm.
What are the chances of bad grounds causing this problem?
Or Fuel filter. ?
Ignitor?

I hate searching and finding people with the same problems and they never get resolved or the thread just ends.

How many pounds of boost are you running. I was hitting fuel cut at around 4500 rpm with my single turbo and it sounded like a "wap wap wap" and not just like hitting a brick wall. I just installed an FCD and now it's gone.

Im hitting boost at around 8-9, My boost gauge fell once and the needle popped out so it might be off by a little.
Would it continue on to higher rpms or would it just stay there?

I couldn't rev any higher than that, it was almost like I was redlining but the fuel was just shutting off at small intervals.

I still happened when I installed new superspark coilpacks so it couldn't have been the coils, and then like I said, the FCD got rid of it

Edit: I'm also running 16 psi of boost on 67mm single and I think fuel cut in a 1jz is around 12 psi. It just so happens that in my car, the turbo is spooling up to around that cut off level at that 4000-4500 rpm range, or at least that's what I'm guessing.
