Default Should i get a lsd?

Ive been trying to get well into the 12s barrier with my mods but its proven to be a bit tough. I cant seem to get my 60' time any lower than a 2.2x with a non lsd diff. What would be the best way to cut my 60' down to a 1.x? Get some drag radials or go with a tt lsd?

Tough to do consistant 2wheel burnouts without an LSD. DR's will not help if they're cold.

I think an LSD on decent street tires will do more good than DRs on an open diff, but as mentioned, both would be ideal.

I believe the general rule was... for every tenth of a second you pick up in your 60ft times, you will pickup two tenths of a second in your overall 1/4time.

Drag radials will easily gain 0.5 seconds or more... but they can be too sticky for some cars... if the tires don't give, something else will... such as the rear end, drive line, axles,etc....
An LSD will make a huge difference as well

If you haven't done so already... lowering rear tire pressure for traction and over inflating front tire pressure for lower rolling resistance helps.

Ive lowered the tire pressure to see if i can gain traction, but i can only get up to 2psi of boost off the line. At 5psi, im basically doing a burnout off the line. I have considered both but at the time being i have to pick between one or the other.

i am no expert, but you can yank weight and put it back if its your dd. carbon fibre whould help alot and just to be sneaky and keep it lexxed up paint the parts to match your car plus you can improve gas mileage and give your engine a break.

there are tons of junkyard tricks you can do to get down the track allitle faster. is it a daily driver?

the answer is yes, if you want to drag you need the right rear end. tires will not help you drastically yet cause you are only using 1 tire. Its probably the best thing you can do to improve your time. I would do that first then maybe a single setup or some drag radials or both after the rear end.

My vote goes to the diff as well. You most likely wont be able to have the desired traction using one slick.

LSD for sure. The car will be a lot more fun to drive too! That's next on my mod list.
