93 sc300 emergency trunk release? Please help
i locked my keys in the trunk. I have taken out back seats and have access to almost the whole trunk by taking the speakers out and putting my arms through those holes, i can barley see down there but does anyone know if theres an emergency release, i found the damn gas tank release but not trunk. Thanks

none of that info is necessary and that link doesn't help me with anything.
I'm just trying to ask a very simple yes or no question:
IS THERE AN EMERGENCY RELEASE?
YES or NO

Then again, since you obviously know better than those who are trying to help you, enjoy your locksmith bill. Or cut through the trunk lid. At least then you'll have the keys back in 5 minutes and we'll be the unhelpful idiots who gave you all the unneeded stupid advice.

If you would have read the thread, particularly post #4, it explains how to pop the trunk without the button. So yours needs to be powered. Either the black or the blue wire may pop the trunk if 12v is applied to it so once you remove that panel all you need is a wire long enough to reach the battery.

I actually took the time to look it up in the service manual. There's an ECU between the dash switch and the trunk so unless you dig out the ECU and provide +12v to the right pin you still aren't getting into the trunk. FWIW, the door lock ECU is in the drivers kick panel. Hit terminal 5 in harness T8 with 12 volts and the trunk should open.
Plan 2 is to give this ECU power and then try the instructions from the other thread. It's powered by the DOME circuit so if your dome light works and/or your power door locks work it may still be getting power. If that's the case then the other thread's instructions will still do the trick.
