I actually did use some sawzalls to remove this thing.. I salvaged everything that I thought I could flip quick.. The rest I just trashed or cut to remove the motor. I know it looks kinda bad, but everything for my project was left untouched and undamaged. The car was hit in the left front, slight damage to the car.. hood, bumper, headlight, battery, and fusebox was destroyed..

I was going to get an ACT after my OE spec Exedy clutch failed to hold but I decided not to because the ACT full face doesn't have a very high torque rating and the next step would have been a six puck which I didn't really care for. Instead I decided to get a dual friction Quantum clutch for a little more because it has a much higher torque capacity than the ACT full face while being very street friendly unlike the next step up 6 puck ACT clutch. It seems like most of the off the shelf W58 clutches other than the one I got would have had the same compromises so it was the best choice for me.

Just an update.. I have tore it down to the block and getting it prepped and cleaned. I spent most of the day cleaning parts, throttle body, etc. I will be sending off the heads to get a little shaved, ported and polished, especially around the curve portions. I am also getting a parts list together for the build.

After talking with SCOTTURNOT, I have decided to build the top end with new pistons from JE or Lextreme. I also am going to keep the stock cams, after several reviews about the stage 1 or 2 cams from Lextreme. I will be using a thicker head gasket, 550 injectors, TT fuel pump or a Walbro 255, ACT clutch with a W58 tranny. People have said that this thing is really loud, but just how loud is this fuel pump? I also will be using a non piggyback setup and other slightly mods. If anyone has any questions about this build, please ask. Will be posting pictures soon of the progress.
