Replace your fuel filter without loosing fuel*
#31
Update: It's been about 5 years and even though my SC does not get driven high-mileage, I have decided to change the fuel filter again.
To my surprise, I ordered a German-made filter thinking the quality should be good. My mistake. Brand was MEYLE "Made in Germany." Under careful examination, I noticed the filter suffered from the same defect - the filter housing was not fully threaded! It was an inexpensive filter, but... back to the vendor it went.
I ordered a NIPPON (OE) brand filter, Made in Japan. It appears to be higher quality and the filter housing is fully threaded. FYI, our vehicles appear to use the exact same filter assembly as the 95-04 Tacoma. Attaching photos for your enjoyment.
